Marketmommies: Tell us about your blog.
Tina: My life is centered around raising a bunch of testosterone! I discuss the ups and downs of motherhood while raising two very lively little boys. I talk about everything from family, parenting, friendship, kids to blogging tips and fun adventures with my boys. I want my blog to be a place where others can connect with me and feel open enough to share their experiences and stories.
Marketmommies: How did you get started?
Tina: I kind of fell into it about a year and half ago. A friend and I started blogging about products we were using and local events in our area. I absolutely fell in love with it and really couldn't get enough. It became such an outlet for me so I knew I wanted to start my own personal blog.
Marketmommies: Where do you find inspiration for your posts?
Tina: Everyday I find an inspiration. Its funny I could be doing as simple as washing the dishes and something will pop into my head or I could be out at the grocery store and I see something and think "Wow that would be a great discussion topic". For me its the every day issues or situations I face that give me the content and inspiration for my blog.
Marketmommies: What has been the most surprising thing you have encountered since starting your blog?
Tina: The opportunities! I have reviewed really amazing products for my family that I probably would have never been able to try otherwise. Also, my family and I get to participate in a lot of area blogging events sponsored by local and national companies. Its a lot of fun to feel apart of something and to have your family along for the ride!
Marketmommies: Where would you like to see your blog in a year? 5 years?
Tina: In one year? Well I hope that it continues to grow and give me more opportunities to stay home with my little guys. I have learned so much in the past year and half and hope to continue on this path. In the future, I would love to land a social media position that would give me the best of both worlds; staying home with my kids and working in a field I love.
Marketmommies: What advice do you have for would be bloggers?
Tina: Be authentic. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there because chances are you will reach someone that is going through a similar situation or experience. And forget about numbers, they are only numbers. It takes time to build a blog. Remember you can have 1,000 followers that NEVER leave a comment or you could have 20 faithful followers that comment on every post. Which would you rather have? The blogging world can really suck you in {it has for me} so you have to find a balance between blogging and family life. Without life experiences what would you write about?
Marketmommies: What are your hobbies?
Tina: Well there are a lot of things I love to do but really don't get a chance to with two active kids. I do love blogging {I consider that my hobby} and cooking. I really enjoy trying new recipes and incorporating *hidden ingredients* into my boys' food {shhh don't tell}. There is nothing like putting on a little music, pouring a glass of wine and cooking a yummy meal!
Marketmommies: Tell us about your family.
Tina: My husband and I have been together for 15 years and married for almost 7. We have two boys. Big A just turned 4 years old. He is my cuddlier, thinks he is a super hero and LOVES to talk, talk, talk! Little B is 18 months and boy does he have a temper, he shows me who's boss! He is our little comedian, loves making others laugh.
